Today we discuss the story of Abraham and his son. Can you imagine the feeling and weight Abraham must have felt? Walking for three days with the son you waited what felt like forever for, and as you walk across the desert landscape every step closer to the destination where you know you must give that son to God through sacrifice. As a father myself, I cant even begin to imagine the pain, torment, and grief that would cause. Every step, every moment of looking into my son’s eyes, knowing I would have to do the unthinkable, the unimaginable. But then at the last moment, God showed his true mercy, sending his angel to save Isaac, and providing a sacrifice in turn.

Let this story and leason resonate with you for a moment, think of the trust and faith required for this mission. When you feel down and out, weak, or unsure of your faith, remember Abraham, and his story of love, faith, trust and obedience. You too, have the power of faith inside you, do not let the current dictate the future. God will test all of us, but remember at the end of our trials is purpose, at the end of our struggles and hardship is strength and purpose. God has immense and unwavering love for all of us. I pray for your faith, I pray for your families, and I pray God bring you and your loved ones close to him and Jesus. God bless you my friends.
