I've only put the stone to 3 knives so far but initial impressions are very positive. It cuts very quickly for it's grit rating and leaves a mirror polish. Has a velvety feel but little to no tactile feedback. Loads up a little that doesn't seem to affect speed and no slurry is generated, just lots of metal swarf.

I've been flattening with an incredibly broken in CKTG 140grit diamond lapping plate and then lapping with an 800grit Naniwa nagura. Didn't need the flattening but does need the loading to be cleared. I think I'll just be using the 800grit nagura or a 5K Suehiro nagura I need to find.
