If you want to text someone but would rather not give them your real cell phone number there are lots of options out there. In this video, I walk you through steps to using Google Voice, which will allow you to get a free phone number to use to call or text. You can use this number to text a friend, family member, or whoever you want and they won't recognize the number or who it is who's texting them.

This is a great way also to get a number from a different area code to text or DM people. I like this way better than texting on WhatsApp because it allows me to be anonymous if I want to be and my real phone number will stay hidden. This process works the same for iPhone and Android in 2021.
