John Dalton (6 September 1766 - 27 July 1844) was a great scientist who explained the structure of matter for the first time. He proposed his famous postulate in 1803 (19th century) famously known as Dalton Atomic Theory.
Dalton atomic theory is based on chemical reaction. With advancement of technology and further studies brought limitation of Dalton's atomic theory in limelight. With knowledge of nuclear reactions, isotopes, isobars, subatomic particles, this theory was modified.
