CNN News18 has learned from sources that the Indian and Bangladeshi Army Chiefs are in direct contact and are constantly discussing the situation on the ground. The objective is clear: to maintain control of the situation on both sides of the border and prevent any escalation. Bangladesh's Army Chief, General Waqar Uz Zaman, has assured his Indian counterpart that all Indian establishments in Bangladesh are completely safe.

बांग्लादेश में जारी हिंसा और अस्थिरता के बीच भारत ने स्थिति पर कड़ी नजर बना ली है. CNN News18 को सूत्रों के हवाले से पता चला है कि भारत और बांग्लादेश के सेना प्रमुख सीधे संपर्क में हैं और जमीनी हालात पर लगातार बातचीत हो रही है. मकसद साफ है, सीमा के दोनों ओर हालात काबू में रहें और किसी भी तरह की स्थिति बिगड़ने न पाए. बांग्लादेश के सेना प्रमुख जनरल वाकर उज जमान ने भारतीय सेना प्रमुख को भरोसा दिलाया है कि बांग्लादेश में मौजूद सभी भारतीय ठिकाने पूरी तरह सुरक्षित हैं.
