In the final moments of Tuesday's episode, Sienna Blake was stunned when her grandmother Martha revealed that her newfound 'uncle' Jeremy is actually her biological father, not his twin brother Patrick.
However, when this bombshell revelation was recapped in the "Previously on Hollyoaks" segment at the start of Wednesday's episode, viewers noticed the scene looked different.
Fans pointed out that the recap showed a much calmer discussion between Sienna and Martha, compared to the dramatic version they had seen the day before.
Hollyoaks confirmed this was due to an error - they had accidentally used an alternate version of the scene in the recap, which had been filmed from a different angle.
This is the latest in a series of blunders for the soap, as earlier in the week there was also anger over a premature birth storyline that didn't seem plausible.
The Hollyoaks representative acknowledged that the use of the wrong version of the Sienna and Martha scene in the recap was a mistake on their part.
