What is a DiSEqC Switch and how does it work?

I go through a simple example of using a DiSEqC to bring in 2 satellite LNB’s to one receiver.
A DiSEqC switch (Digital Satellite Equipment Control Switch) is used to bring in multiple satellite LNB’s to one receiver. The DiSEqC is programmed/controlled at the receiver and automatically switches to the required satellite as you change channels.
DiSEqC 1.0 switch allows for up to 4 LNB’s to one receiver. DiSEqC 1.2 switch allows for up to 8 LNB’s to one receiver. Or more if used in conjunction with 22 kHz switches and/or splitters.
