Hydrophobia (2010) | Xbox 360 | 1440p60 | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary

Full game longplay of Hydrophobia, a 2010 TPP Adventure/Platformer Xbox 360 exclusive game, released in September 2010. Or, rather, it's "Hydrophobia Pure" actually, due to the late December 2010 update to the game, which was dubbed "Pure" for marketing reasons, I guess. Anyway, this here was played on Series X through Backwards Compatibility, so this is the best this version could look and run. Still, it's locked internally to 720p + 2/4xMSAA, and 30 fps. Played at 1440p120 on Series X, and recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.

Note: neither Hydrophobia, or Hydrophobia Pure (the update) is the same product as Hydrophobia Prophecy from 2011, IT IS NOT THE SAME PRODUCT, and NOT FOR THE SAME PLATFORMS. Hydrophobia Prophecy btw will come to the channel also, in some time, it's already been recorded. And, is not a significant change on the game, but at least it adds an actual ending to Hydrophobia. xD

The game is set in the mid 21st century when the world has fallen into the chaos of the "Great Population Flood", and takes place aboard the Queen of the World, a city-sized luxury ocean vessel built by a group of corporate giants known as the Five Founding Fathers who, due to the QOTW, have prospered while the rest of the world suffered. At the beginning of the game, the craft is bombed by a group of fanatical terrorists known as the Malthusians, named after political economist Thomas Malthus who predicted that population growth would one day outpace agricultural production, returning society to a subsistent level of existence. The Malthusians have a plan to murder the majority of humans on the planet, so that the survivors wouldn't suffer from the effects of the population explosion. Their slogans, including "Save the World - K*ll Yourself", are written on the walls and displayed on computer screens all over the ship. Kate Wilson, the protagonist, is a systems engineer who becomes a reluctant hero when the Malthusians attack and take over the QOTW.
