A landmark in Pune (Poona), Shaniwar Wada was constructed in the 18th Century CE by Peshwa Bajirao I. The Shaniwar Wada was home to the Peshwa and his family until 1818. After the Third Anglo-Maratha War, the British East India Company took over the Wada. The Wada has been the backdrop for many events in Maratha history and more recently a star in Bollywood movies like Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Panipat (2019). This documentary will explore the Shaniwar Wada like never before!
