Bootstrap Grid Layout default Padding tutorial - Bootstrap tutorial for beginners by Learning Simplified

In this tutorial, we are going to understand default padding used by Bootstrap and will find a way for its modification using custom css that we have created earlier.In generally, we know bootstrap container is at a width of 1170px with a 30px gutter space from either sides, left and right, which makes a content padding of 15px from both ends. If we use row, full container width is utilized. Now if we put contents inside by calling the class names (whether col-lg, col-md, col-sm or col-xs), we will observe another 15px padding from both the ends. This process continues each time whenever we call another div inside the default selector class names bootstrap uses.

This is what this tutorial is for. Here, we have discussed the following things:

1) Analyzing the output under the condition when user defined selector names are applied under a single tag, i.e., when both bootstrap selector name and user defined selector name works together.

2) Analyzing the output under the condition when a user defined selector name comes under the default bootstrap selector name individually. In this condition we will understand the default padding as prescribed in bootstrap.

3) Possible padding as per further introduction of more classes or selectors under different tags under the default bootstrap class name (discussion only with examples).

4) How to introduce a new selector name with no padding attributes under a specific class to remove default padding property of that particular class name only.

We have discussed the above breaking the 12 grids into 3 parts, i.e, with an example of three class names consuming up to 4 columns each. We have used large column preview,
i.e., we have used col-lg-4 as an example here.
