My E46 Sedan Transformed with M Upgrades: Rear End Swap & F8X Brakes!

Описание к видео My E46 Sedan Transformed with M Upgrades: Rear End Swap & F8X Brakes!

In this follow-up video, I tackle the issues with fitting M4 brakes and rotors on my E46 1999 BMW 328i. This video dives deep into the process and solutions for upgrading the braking system, including a complete rear end swap with an M3 subframe, sway bar, differential, control arms, and end links. If you're interested in E46 M3 upgrades, custom brake installations, and DIY car modifications, this video is for you.

First, I swapped out the old small rear subframe for a complete M3 subframe, including the sway bar, differential, control arms, end links, and more. Although I made every bolt gold, I didn't capture that on camera. During the subframe swap, I checked for cracks or rust in the floor—luckily, it was all clear!

Next, I installed 5mm spacers on the wheel hub, creating enough space for the M4 caliper mounting points to fit perfectly with the factory mounting points and rotors. After all that work, the M4 brakes finally fit on my E46 328i, but I wasn't satisfied just yet.

To finish the job, I completely redid the calipers in a striking red color, similar to newer BMW models, and added a decal and clear coat for a professional finish. The video ends after I install the calipers back on, remove the car from the jack stands, and lower it to ride height—leaving you on a cliffhanger!
