CPKC on a Sunday - EB Stacks and Manifest with 2 Southern Belles and CKPC 731 Almost Sneaks Past Me.

I was well prepared for this first catch. An eastbound intermodal and mixed manifest combo was passing through Cobourg. I set up south of the tracks and just east of the crossing to catch a CP-KCS power combo leading this train. Following the lead locomotives was a string of 119 wells before another Southern Belle showed up as a mid-DPU. The consist of the train changed entirely after that, switching over to a varied mixed manifest. I'm not sure of the train ID on this run. My best guess is CPKC 118.

I knew that CPKC 731, a westbound autorack train, was lurking; but I had no idea that it had already reached the siding at Spicer and was just waiting on a clear signal after the eastbounder had passed. I wandered over to the CN tracks to catch VIA 64 heading to Montreal at the eastern end of the platform. As I was wandering back to a more central spot between the two tracks, I suddenly caught the sound of the crossing gates at George Street. accompanied by the steady rumble of an approaching locomotive. I rushed and just made it to the other side of the station as a sole CP GEVO approached. Thankfully the trees on the other side of the road leading to the station were late budding ones and I was able to catch this train through the bare branches. The video in this segment is a little shaky, as I was trying to figure out the best gap in the trees to film through, not to mention having to shoot over passing vehicles as they left the station with VIA 64's arrivals. It all worked out in the end though.
