We are finally starting to receive some information about version 5.0 and the characters who will be released in it, and we have also received new information about version 5.1 and 5.2 characters. Unlike Fontaine or other regions, we still don't know much about the upcoming 5.0 update, even though we have entered the second phase of version 4.7 and are just one patch away from the release of Natlan.
Just a few hours ago, some new information was shared by PTL, Team Mew, and other reliable sources. According to them, Hoyoverse will release two new five-star characters in version 5.0, and both of these characters are female. They didn't reveal their names, but they did share their weapon types. According to them, one of these two characters will use a claymore, and the other will be a catalyst user.
If you have seen my video where I shared info about an upcoming tall female five-star character, you would know that she might be one of the two characters to be released in version 5.0. She might be the claymore or catalyst user we are talking about here. The catalyst user will most likely be Iansan, and since she was teased in the Teyvat storyline trailer, she will definitely release in version 5.0. But there are some rumors that Iansan will be a four-star character, so we will have to wait for the 5.0 closed beta to know for sure.
About the geo five-star character: Since we recently got Navia as a claymore user and the game seriously lacks geo female five-star characters, version 5.0 might be a good opportunity for Hoyoverse to release another one. But this is just speculation, so it is subject to change.
The information about both of these characters being female is still not confirmed, so that too is subject to change, since they didn't provide the source. However, the info about the weapons and their rarities is reliable. This is very surprising since Hoyoverse hasn't released two new five-star characters at the beginning of any region since Sumeru, as they often release them in the X.1 patch of each cycle, with 4.7 being an exception.
The source further said that Hoyoverse will release only one new five-star character in version 5.1 and 5.2, and according to me, these characters are most likely Xbalanque and the Pyro Archon.
They also revealed some new information about Xbalanque's identity, but it can be considered a minor spoiler, so here's a spoiler warning. According to the info, Xbalanque is immortal or is a being with extremely high longevity, and he's not a regular human being. They also said that the term 'immortal race' can be used to refer to anything from Xianzhou people to Neuvillette. I have no idea what they're trying to say here, so if any of you guys know what this means, please let me know in the comments.
About Xbalanque: He will have short hair and a medium male model, similar to Bennett. As for his element, he's basically confirmed to be a Pyro character. This isn’t particularly surprising since he appears to be extremely important to Natlan, like Neuvillette is for Fontaine. Also, since they were officially referred to as "One Entombed With the Primal Fire" during Neuvillette's drip marketing, Xbalanque is highly likely to be Pyro.
As for Xbalanque's playstyle, he is expected to be the five-star version of Bennett. This information was shared by the same source who shared today's information, so it's pretty reliable. And the statement "five-star version of Bennett" is enough to indicate how strong of a character he will be when he's released.
