An Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Attributed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

Saint Padre Pio recited this novena every day for all those who requested his prayers.

This novena can be prayed any time of year or, as did Padre Pio, perpetually throughout the year. However, it is traditionally prayed for nine days prior to the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was started and made popular by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. She was inspired by visions of Jesus to spread this devotion.

This was a favorite prayer of St. Padre Pio, and he prayed it every day.

Traditional dates – May 29 to June 6. Traditional dates are optional. It can be prayed anytime and everyday as Padre Pio did.
