Happy New Year - Ambient tape loop jam

Happy New Year! Goodbye to 2024 and welcome to 2025.

A new year also means another #jamuary - I’ve enjoyed this challenge over the last few years, it’s an excellent way to fire creativity, experiment and connect with new people. Over the last few years I’ve used it as a way to kickstart my year musically after a break, but this year feels different as I had a very productive and creative end to 2024 with the release of my debut album.

As a result I’ll be using #jamuary2025 as a way to continue that momentum and try some new things.

The observant amongst you may also notice a change on my desk after a period of stability! My beloved Solar 42f has had to go in for repair due to an issue with the switch. I’m hoping the excellent folk at @elevatorsoundbristol will get it sorted for me quickly, but at least for now I’ll have to try some other things as the centre piece.

Starting 2025 with a noisy, glitchy, meandering jam based on tape loops and noise - like waking up with a scratchy head and remembering fragments of the night before but not quite being able to piece it all together.
