Austin mini restoration - Jig assembly

Описание к видео Austin mini restoration - Jig assembly

In this video I cover the partially failed assembly of a rollover Jig which I purchased from Huddersfield Spares. I don't know if I've assembled it correct as it certainly doesn't spin freely or feel balanced. Also there was no instructions with the kit and a rather flimsy locking mechanism which I ended up putting in the bin as it was dangerous so a modification was made to lock the Jig.

Follow on to the update video where I manage to get the jig operating as it should. If your planning on buying a jig which is a must for a heavy mini restoration then I'd still recommend this jig but don't use the bolt as it's A) far too big for the frame and looks completely amateurish and B) It's too flimsy, If you lean on the car then I could see the lock giving way as the metal is paper thin and not designed for this job and should only be used for the job it was designed for i.e to keep a garden gate closed! I hope Huddersfield spares drops this gate lock and welds a tube to the frame instead and make the super product which it is look professional and most of all safer!
