[Original in Latin]

[First Part]
[At] vobis male sit, malae tenebrae
Orci, quae omnia bella devoratis:
Tam bellum mihi passerem abstulistis
O factum male! o factum male!

[Second Part]
Ergo etiam cum me supremus adederit ignis
Vivam, vivam, parsque mei multa superstes erit.

[Translation to English]

[First Part]
Curse on you, evil shadows
Of the underworld, who devour all beautiful things:
You have taken such a beautiful sparrow from me
Oh evil deeds! Oh evil deeds!

[Second Part]
I, too, when the final fires have eaten up my frame
Shall still live, live on, the great part of me to survive my death

This song traces parallels to the state of the main characters in the actual context of the narrative. Describing all the hatred and grief of Spyro, after the death of Ignitus, and how The Destroyer reduced everything he knew as a home in ashes. Spyro reach the conclusion that he will fight until the end, until his death, and even after his fall, your spirit may live fuelled by hatred and revenge.
