ISIS Warns Hamas
ISIS has a new published video where it threatens the Palestinian resistance group Hamas with ending its rule in the Gaza Strip. The group condemned Hamas’s recent crackdown on Salafist group in Gaza. In May, salafist groups targeted Hamas members in 4 separate attacks, including a bomb attack at a chicken store owned by a Hamas intelligence official, Saber Siyam.

Tsipras Extends a Hand
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has written a letter to his financial creditors. His letter states he is ready to agree to conditions imposed by his creditors as long as two changes are made. Tsipras stated a VAT discount to Greek islands must be maintained and that the process of raising Greece’s retirement age be postponed to October. Greeks are due to vote on Sunday on whether to accept an austerity package. On Tuesday, Greece moved closer to leaving the euro following its missed deadline to repay 1.8 billion dollars to the International Monetary Fund.

BRICS Moves Forward
The Chinese parliament has approved The New Development Bank. Also known as the BRICS Bank, it is one of two international development banks that China is promoting as an alternative to western institutions such as the World Bank.
China signed the new agreement with Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa to create the bank. China has pledged to contribute a total of $41 billion to the bank, giving it the largest voting right at 39.5 per cent.

HIV ‘Eliminated’
The World Health Organization has declared that Cuba has “eliminated” mother-to-child HIV transmission. In 2013, only two children in Cuba were born with HIV. As part of its efforts, Cuba has increased access to early prenatal care and HIV screenings. Untreated, the mother to baby HIV transmission is 15 to 45 percent.
