Joel Salatin is an author, public speaker, and a self proclaimed Christian, Libertarian, environmentalist, capitalist, who is known and celebrated around the world simply as the lunatic farmer.

Joel may very well be the most famous farmer in the world, he’s even testified before congress. His farm - located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, is named Polyface (the farm of many faces). Known for their innovative farming practices, Joel and his family have been revolutionizing agriculture and proving nay sayers wrong since 1961.

Polyface’s methods involve the disregarding of conventional farming, instead working with nature, not against it. (You see) Polyface utilizes a diverse mobile system of rotational animal husbandry all of which work in symbiosis to form a self sustaining and perpetual ecosystem of abundance. They raise cattle, pastured meat chickens, egg layers, pastured pigs, turkeys, and even rabbits.

Joel has inspired droves of people around the world to embrace self sufficiency, to make improved dietary choices, all while promoting sustainable, environmentally positive farming practices.
