John Harriman was the captain in charge of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B on its shakedown cruise around the Sol System with Captain Kirk aboard. That fateful mission, seen in Star Trek Generations would go on to define the man's career for the rest of is his life, but not in a good way. Infamy followed him for a long while and the Enterprise B itself was considered a cursed starship by those more superstitious in Starfleet.
