How to play Burnout by James Ernest

James Ernest of Crab Fragment Labs explains the rules to Burnout, a new two-player game for the Pairs deck.

Burnout is a simple auction game, in which players buy cards from the table by playing cards from their hands. Your final score is the difference between the cards you bought, and the cards you started with.

Burnout is just one of dozens of original games for the Pairs deck: a unique deck of cards with 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, and so on, up to 10x10. There are dozens of different art decks for Pairs, including Andrew Kolb's Las Vegas deck featured in this video.
