Beijing eases Green Card rules for foreign talent

China’s capital city has started a pilot program from today, March 1, to allow fast-track green card applications for foreign talents in the city, in a bid to transform itself into a global innovation hub with more foreign experts and entrepreneurs pitching in.
 
The Ministry of Public Security has established a Permanent Residency Processing Center in Zhongguancun, known as China's Silicon Valley, where qualified applicants can go through the procedure in 50 workdays.
