SILHOUETTE CAMEO not working with windows 10 1809. Just found out. Tried a USB hub, but not really

Disclaimer: Boring Video.

Long story short.. I got a really old silhouette cameo.. and well.. I recently tried plugging in the cameo into my windows 10 machine.. Bam.. nothing.
When I view device manager.. I see:
"USB printing support"

Yay!! what does that mean?
Anyways.. in this video, I show that using a usb hub.. you might get the windows 10 machine to recognize the die cutter temporarily, but it's not stable at all.

Instead,.. per the video, I suggest finding or installing an older windows version like windows 7 to run this machine. That's what I had to do to use the cameo. I found an old 10yr old laptop to run it.. and it worked.. albeit very slow.

As of August 1, 2019 and with the release of Windows 10 1809, 1903 and above Microsoft no longer supports USB 1.0 connections via a USB 3.0 port.
