I've had several people ask how you approach creating a sketchbook page on your own, so I thought I'd show you some ways to think about creating a sketchbook page. We are going to paint from a real life object that I feel like most people have access to--a crayon. If you don't have a crayon, use a maker or pen as your subject. Anything will work! And then we just play around with materials and ideas until we find something that we want to do more of. In the end, we have a very fun sketchbook page.

I didn't go into this with a set idea for materials, and I suggest that you just have a bunch of tools at the ready, but this is what I ended up using when it was all said and done.

Supplies:

Crayons
Watercolor sketchbook (from my shop https://www.adreamoradayart.com/shop, but any watercolor paper will work)
Printer paper (2-3 sheets)
Pencil and eraser
Pens
Sharpie
Watercolor paint (my 24 color essential palette https://www.adreamoradayart.com/produ...)
Colored pencils
Glue
Scissors
