A new cat appears on a rainy day...
9/7/2025 update: I changed the thumbnail to the old one, it looks better tbh
June 2nd update: I changed the thumbnail. It's now more of a mix between the new thumbnail system and the old thumbnail system.
Alright, first, let me address the elephant in the room. This episode took almost 17 months to come out. This has taken longer than any other episode, twice as long as the previous longest, episode 2, which took 8 months.
So, why did it take so long?
Well, the strange thing is that every time I think about it, I haven't been able to pinpoint an exact reason why. Therefore, I think that it was a combination of 5 reasons:
1. Procrastination
Probably the most obvious reason. This was definitely prevalent throughout the development of the other episodes though (besides TCO 1). And actually, most of the development was done over 5 months: May 2022, November 2022, December 2022, April 2023, and May 2023.
2. Higher quality standards
This is probably the biggest reason. Over the past year, I have gotten significantly better at animating, and with that comes higher quality standards, which (obviously) makes animation take longer.
3. Other projects
Over past year, I have been working on a lot of projects besides TCO 4, most notably MA 3 and... MA 2? Has the episode really been in development for that long?
4. Stuff from real life
I've been busy with stuff from real life. Pretty self-explanatory.
5. Episode length
The Cats Origins 4 is almost 4 minutes long, which is longer than any other episode so far.
So... yeah... sorry it took so long, to make up for it though, I've tried to make the episode as good as possible.
Alright, now that that's out of the way... I have so much to say... I don't really know where to start.
Firstly, this is the finale of The Cats Origins! It's finished after two years! Now I'll be starting The Cats season 1, which I'll give more information on in future videos.
Also, the animation is now significantly better than TCO 3. I think it's now a lot cleaner and smoother. It is a bit laggy though, although it isn't really a problem with the animation as it's probably a scratch bug.
Overall though, this is probably that best episode that I've made so far. (probably not for long)
In addition, the new thumbnail is different from the older ones. I thought the older ones were kinda boring. I hope this new one will be more interesting. I might change it later though.
There are also a bunch of other videos coming soon such as The Cats Origins full soundtrack!
There's also a lot of music in this episode, which I believe make it more entertaining! Thank you to Meowie Gamer for making all of the tracks (besides the intro music, which I made).
Speaking of the intro, this is the first (and only) time that the TCO intro is used. I kinda forgot to put it in TCO 3, sorry. The fact that it's the only episode that it's used in is kind of sad though. Also, I did make sure to use the new logo.
Since the episode is done, Meowzie's Adventure 3 is now my main project! (finally!) I'll be taking a week-long break though.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun making this episode and I really hope you enjoy watching it!
The Cats Origins is finally finished, but I feel like this is only the beginning.
