Return Of The Exorcist (Giuliano Sorgini Tribute) by Everett Dudgeon (Prophet X, Tempest,ISLA S2400)

This track was actually one I did a while back, it was the last track I did with the ISLA S2400 before I sold it. It's an excellent machine for those that are thinking about picking it up.

This is a tribute to Giuliano Sorgini's score for the 1975 film Return Of The Exorcist. There's some genuinely creepy moments in this one and it was awesome seeing Richard Conte in his later years (Conte was a film noir staple back in the 40s/50s and later on he did a few exploitation flicks in Italy, specifically Eurocrime.

The music itself is a blend of classic Gregorian chants, synth, and some hip-hop style beats. Very similar to Alessandro Alessandroni's score for Killer Nun.

The Prophet X is doing a string machine type sound for the main melody as well as the spoken choir which are being modulated by an LFO and run through the onboard reverb and phaser.

The Tempest is doing a simple rhythm on a Boss DR-55 kit.

The S2400 is simply doing a lo-fi breakbeat which is pitch and beat synced.
