Story Summary :-
Op always wanted to be a soldier, so he never really cared about other things. He was never in a relationship, but then his parents wanted him to go out and find a partner. Op is reluctant, so his mom introduces him to her friend’s daughter Claire. Claire and Op develop a liking for each other after going out on dates, as both of them want to see if they are compatible with each other or not. Later, both get married. After a year, Claire declares that she is pregnant, but she looks distraught. Op wonders about the reason, but then he looks forward to the birth of his child. Op is called for duty and doesn’t return home until 11 months later. Claire has given birth to a baby girl whom she names Layla without waiting for Op. Op finds Claire living at her parent’s house. She refuses to talk to Op and asks him to leave. Op is taken aback by Claire’s behavior. Claire sends Op divorce papers, and Op is clueless about what is happening and why.

He talks to Claire’s friends since Claire herself doesn’t want to talk to him. He gets to know that Claire has cut off from all her friends, and his in-laws also claim to be clueless about their daughter’s decision. During the hearing, Claire comes up with excuses to just get the divorce somehow, but the court decides to take a decision at the next hearing.

Op calls him MIL at his place, where his mom is also present. His MIL reveals the truth about Daniel–Claire’s university crush–who has returned to her life. Claire has been cheating on Op.

Op digs to find out that Daniel is a fraud and uses his relationships with rich women to exploit their money. Op tries to tell this to Claire, but she refuses to believe him. Op proves in the court that Claire has been cheating on him, and Layla is also not his daughter. Divorce happens, but Claire gets no child support, not much of an alimony.

Op finds out that Daniel has left Claire because she couldn’t give him the money he wanted, and he confesses his deceit. He met Claire only to use her to get money from Op because Op is rich. Claire’s mom calls Op telling him that he should talk to Claire and she might come back to him, but Op is not sure just yet and wants to take some time thinking about what to do next. He is trying to heal from the pain his ex-wife caused him.
