The more competitive the hair market becomes, the more creative hair labeling has become and the more careful you need to be.
Here is what you need to know. There are basically 3 tiers of hair and for the sake of simplicity we are going to break it down by low grade, mid grade, and high grade.

Low grade- you do not want to buy the lowest grade on anyone's scale. This is guaranteed to be mixed hair (animal hair, synthetics etc). This hair has a very short lifespan.

Middle grade - This grade is going to be a little tricky. A lot of companies sell medium grade disguised as high grade.

Mid grade hair is virgin (cuticle hair) that is mixed with non-cuticle hair but has gone through a process; typically an

acid bath then silicone coating process to smooth the cuticles and make it look shiny and soft. Depending on the

process, this hair can last a year but usually becomes unusable around 8-9 months. Mid grade hair is also lower quality

because of the amount of short hairs to long hairs in a bundle. These are the longer bundles with a large percentage of

short hairs which makes the bundles thick at the top but very thin at the end. (You all have seen the 30 inch bundles that

died somewhere around 18 inches).

High grade hair - The highest grade hair is single donor hair, meaning that it was cut from one individual person. The

cuticle is 100% in tact, going in one direction. This hair, with proper care can last five years plus (our customers

have proven this to be true). There are two types of high grade hair. The first being raw virgin hair. This is the purest hair.

It is cut from the donor, sanitized and bundled up. The second is raw virgin hair that has been steamed without chemicals

to achieve a texture. Both will last years however the steamed hair may loose its wave/curl over time.
