AG UCM J.S. Bach WTC 1-15 P&F January 2023. recording wich I abandoned as not yet mature.

- A little bit of recent history of making WTC. I begin to reveal a little the “secrets” of the recent past and introduce you to the evolution of the level of mastery of “cyclopean labor”. -

My dear friends, my dear UCM guys,
so that you understand how high the requirements and level of work performed are, I am posting in one file 15 preludes and fugues recorded almost a year ago. This variant is “Student”, that is, the level of artistic skill and tempo content of disc number 1. You can listen to it as a historic document reflecting the passed levels of mastery.
After much doubt and reflection, with a “heavy heart”, I rejected this recording as a not yet mature performance with a sound space that has not yet been found, too rough "ordinary modern pianist" touch and excessive "pianistic performance" of Bach's cosmic geometry, that is, I play here as a "modern pianist" equipped with "modern pianistic technique."
And this level of playing, in spite new human possibilities demonstrated here, unfortunately, remains in the distant past of the history of the piano and in no way corresponds to the tasks I set in solving the optimal performance of Bach’s great cycle. It was necessary to do everything all over again - a different (new) technique, a different (new) touch, a different (new) sound, different (new) artistic solutions, a different (new) level of skill. Which was completed last week.
