Pressing the hold switch "bypasses" the command "pad off." This means even when the finger leaves the touch screen, the controller will continue to send the pad message.

The rotary encoder changes the program on the device connected (sends program change messages).

The use of a sustainer greatly enhances the capabilities of the MIDI Screen, mainly because there is no need to release the screen to pick.

Many opportunities are opened with the use of a MIDI Screen, for example, tapping in two different places allows "pitch jumping" with the whammy, which is impossible with a treadle. You can see this at 1:45
-I also use the dive bomb feature as a killswitch - 3:46 (hold switch has to be off)
