Growing Heritage Wheat at home. Part 1

Growing a small plot of wheat for home use and bread making. This video covers the things I learned, what went wrong, what went right; it covers the entire process from preparing the soil to harvest, threshing and milling into flour. This is part 1 of a longer series of videos that will be coming out.

This journey started in Oct 2016 when I planted this wheat; my first time growing American Heritage wheat called Turkey Red. It was harvested in June 2017 and shortly after that, I made this video. Although Turkey Red would be considered a heritage wheat, I wanted to go one better - a Southern Heritage Wheat - a wheat variety that actually grew in the Carolina's in the 1700 & 1800's. Will I be able to find such seeds?
