FITTING Z1 MOTORSPORTS SILICONE BOOST INTAKE HOSE SET ON MY 1992 NISSAN

Описание к видео FITTING Z1 MOTORSPORTS SILICONE BOOST INTAKE HOSE SET ON MY 1992 NISSAN

I recently had to remove one of the intake boost hoses on my 1992 Z32 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo in order to refit the PTU which the previous owner had relocated.

In doing so I discovered that the OEM rubber Nissan intake boost hose had crumbled away around the throttle body causing a small vacuum boost leak which made sense as my car had slight hesitation in the lower revs, especially on a cold start.

I needed to replace the boost hoses and the options were to either buy a second hand part which would likely be in a similar condition, to buy new OEM intake hoses from Nissan for £400 + VAT or the option I chose was to upgrade to silicone hoses and I ended up fitting The Z1 Silicone Intake Boost Hose set from Z1 Motorsports.

I was also having a issue where there would be an occasional oil burning smell coming specifically from the left side of the car after a drive.

When I previously removed the balance tube to fit new spark plugs which involves removing the coil packs I noticed oil inside the intake plenum which likely came from a sticking PCV valve.

So I also ordered some new PCV valves from Z1 Motorsports for 18USD each where as Nissan wanted £45 + VAT each.

In this video I am fitting the Z1 Silicone Intake Boost Hose Set which ended up fixing two vacuum boost leaks! and replacing my faulty PCV valves.
