The Kanga Project with Muna Ally

Muna Ally is a documentary photographer and the founder of The Kanga Project, an initiative through which she distributes kangas to women in rural villages in Zanzibar. Through an extension of the project, Muna has visually explored the connection that both Zanzibari and Omani women share with this piece of garment with a collection of photographs. The images are currently on exhibition at the Junoon Kanga shop as a collaboration between the two projects.
