Violence against the poor must stop. We cannot let the history repeat itself or let the
present stay the same. In this inspiring talk, Sanjay Macwan unveils the exploitation of
vulnerable individuals within our communities; enlightening us on the brutality against the
poor, and how it subsequently becomes a lucrative business. Furthermore, Sanjay helps
portray how these burdens stagnate a nation both morally and economically.
Sanjay Macwan is the International Justice Mission’s Regional Director, and leads its Anti-
Sex Trafficking branch in North India. He led a team of social workers and lawyers in
assisting law enforcement agencies, social services and public prosecutors to bring
freedom, restoration and justice to the victims of sex trafficking. He has spearheaded the
training of 12000 police officers, 1300 judges, and 200 Child Welfare Committee and
Shelter home staff to battle inequality in India.

Sanjay Macwan is the International Justice Mission’s Regional Director, and leads its Anti-Sex Trafficking branch in North India. Along with other accomplishments, he has also spearheaded the training of 12000 police officers, 1300 judges, and 200 Child Welfare Committees and Shelter home staff. Sanjay’s passion to transform India into a nation rooted in justice and equality makes him one of the forerunners for system reform in the country.
