“This year marks the inaugural year for the mass production of humanoid robots. With the mass production of humanoid robots, we believe that both enterprises and customers will face pain points. For example, there are not many scenarios for showcasing their products because their companies have been focused on research and development. Any company that manages to stand out in the humanoid robot field is undoubtedly one that has devoted itself deeply to R&D. However, they generally lack experience in other areas. For example, many of these companies have no sales teams of their own, nor marketing or publicity teams. I believe that through the service provided by our 4S Stores, including sales, spare parts supply, and information feedback, as well as robot leasing, finance lease, robot insurance, robot loans, and our secondary development capabilities, we can integrate all these strengths to offer enterprises a one-stop solution to address their pain points and to help with their healthy development.”

STORYLINE:
Rocking out robot style.
These musical machines are part of a pioneering facility designed to push the robotics industry forward.
Branded the world’s first “humanoid robot 4S shop”, the centre in south eastern Beijing’s Yizhuang area aims to bridge the gap between robot research and real-world use.
“This year marks the inaugural year for the mass production of humanoid robots. With the mass production of humanoid robots, we believe that both enterprises and customers will face pain points," said Wang Yifan, director of the Embodied AI Robotics 4S Store.
"Any company that manages to stand out in the humanoid robot field is undoubtedly one that has devoted itself deeply to R&D. However, they generally lack experience in other areas. For example, many of these companies have no sales teams of their own, nor marketing or publicity teams.”
The facility provides a variety of services for both current and future robot owners.
From sales to servicing and providing spare parts for your robots, to conducting customer surveys, the concept aims to meet the demands of a growing industry.
The location is key - this is where nearly 200 robotic companies are concentrated.
Housed in a four-story building called “the Robot World”, the shop offers areas to select and test various types of robots.
Beyond traditional applications, like robots working as movers in factories, the facility demonstrates novel use cases.
For example, robots finding and transporting medicine in pharmacies, or serving as bartenders or rock musicians.
China is positioning itself as a global leader in the robotic industry.
In 2023, the government outlined plans to build a comprehensive innovation system for humanoid robots.
One of the goals was to achieve an internationally advanced level of robot products and begin mass production.
The industry has since called 2025 “the inaugural year of humanoid robot mass production”.
