Civitas Sancti Tui - William Byrd - performed by The Tenebrae Choir, conducted by Nigel Short

This choral piece, 'Civitas sancti, tui', is the second part of William Byrd's composition, Ne irascaris, Domine, and was first published in 1589. A composer of the English Renaissance, Tenebrae often perform music by Byrd, and this sacred motet is a favourite of many of our singers.
