swamped is an eight track album of remastered old remixes i made under the name ‘electricmudkip'. there’s mostly pokémon tracks but other games are featured too. had fun revisiting these old songs and i hope u guys like what i did with them :)


so i’m gonna upload a track from this every few days until i run out (there’s eight in total), was gonna do one a week but like yo that’d take two months lmao. i’ll probably release a new remix in between uploads of this too, if i finish it by then

this is the first track, of ‘route 118’ from pokémon r/s/e. loudr doesn’t let me name remixes anything cool so it’s just ‘route 118’ lmao. same goes for the rest of the album. oh well. I HAD SOME REALLY COOL NAMES PICKED OUT TOO BUT oh well. oh well. oh well. anyway i wanted to have a route 118 remix on this album (and for it to be first in the tracklist) to sort of encapsulate ‘electricmudkip’—it was my first upload, after all. this version here i remastered was originally made in 2014 i think and i’ve always liked it but u know how it is. u grow and everything u make sounds shittier by the day so. i tried to fix what i had issues with. namely just overall clarity/filling up the sound spectrum, but especially the weird dubstep section i hope it’s less????obnoxious????but it might not be it is inherently weird. i couldn’t find a way to skip it so i just tried to make it less strange lol. that’s about it tho, it’s pretty interesting to analyze how i used to make songs such as this in the past, i definitely used to do things i wouldn’t bother to anymore, like the aforementioned dramatic genre change or, like, the cheesy crowd clapping sfx part like lmao. i guess they work fine but they’re pretty extra
