Alas,

There are two big interpretations for these songs. The first is kind of heavy but makes some sense metaphorically, the second is literal.


In that song it seems as if an alien is trying to abduct a human, but in a more friendly and 'fun' kind of way. Talking about playing house and generally it has a jovial and inviting mood to it.

It's hard to tell wether or not the person went with the alien, because the singer (being the alien) says they're unsure about the whole thing by the end of the song.

Metaphorically, It can be gleaned that in the first song someone is trying to incite their friend into jumping off a roof with them and going to another world, where in this song the result of that decision is shown


OR literally speaking in this song (which uses ALOT of the same motifs) the singer seems to have returned to earth after having an interstellar rendezvous, only to be unable to actually die as a human due to their time/activities off-planet.

Perhaps they were buried immortally or perhaps they're stuck in a never ending stream of consciousness but either way, it doesn't seem to be very pleasant...


Moral of the story,
If an alien asks if u tryna hop in, probably say no 🤖
