Bale Grazing Experiment #1

I thought it would be interesting to do some experiments with bale grazing. In this experiment, I unroll 2 hay bales hours apart for 34 cows. Tune in to see how well they cleaned it up and learn how I plan to improve the next experiment.

Hello folks, My name is Jason Chrisman, I started managing cattle for another guy on leased land the Fall of 2013 with no experience. It's kinda funny, I was looking for a local farm to place bee hives on and it turned into this. Since, I have watched hours of videos on grazing and done many experiments on my own. It wasn't long after I started managing the cattle that we added chickens to our rotations. The chickens are the fly control for the cattle and they help spread out the manure patties which helps them breakdown faster. I've learned a lot to this point and want to share the knowledge I've gained so please subscribe and feel free to comment or ask questions.
