Blake's made his hardtail more hardcore and way more capable by thinking about his intended use! He knows he's going to abuse this thing, so opted for tyre inserts, stiff casing aggressive tyres, forgiving wheels a long fork and a chunky steering set u, all as an insurance policy to keep it going despite what he's going to throw at it.
