When the Lord gave me these lyric, I had no idea it was a song when writing them down in my journal, but the book of Job was heavily on my heart. In Job, after all these horrible and terrible things happen to him, he questions God and ultimately God puts Job back in his place as a finite, ignorant being who cannot understand the ways and the majesty of the KIng of Heaven. In the end, Job was rewarded for his steadfast persistence and God restored everything the ememy had stolen and more.

We have to understand who it is that we serve. He is not a wishy-washy weak God who has no standards nor is he as an angry dictator in the sky waiting to pour out judgment on the earth. He is a stong and powerful being who knows all and created all things, yet his kindness and mercies are new every morning.

Who can stand against this Great God that we serve? He alone deserves to be prasied and to be feared. He alone is the Great I Am and first born of all creation. Fall on your face before the king of heaven in humble adoration and he will show his kindness, love and mercy to you and rain his grace upon you.
