I created a live ball drill you can practice with your coach or friends.

The purpose of the drill is twofold: first, it helps players “SEE” the open court to take control, and second, it helps players defend the court when they see two players at the net.
:
The Drill:
1. Start 2 back 2 back
2. One person (returner) hits and goes to the net
3. The other side returns to the open court, and both players go to the net
4. The first person who comes to the net retreats towards the baseline when they see the 2 at the net

This is an excellent drill for all levels to practice hitting to the open court, changing the direction of the ball, and learning offense /defense. All in one point!
