From electric to self-driving cars, advancements in automotive technologies continue to transform cars and the driving experience. But commercialization of technologies for the road has not kept up. Transportation futurist Allie Kelly presents the case for three technologies available today that can make roads and highways cleaner to build, safer to drive while powering the vehicles traveling on them.

Allie Kelly is executive director of The Ray, an 18-mile living transportation lab located in West Georgia and named after sustainable commerce visionary Ray Anderson. Allie leads a team of experts working on leading-edge technologies with a single goal: transform transportation infrastructure and create zero-impact roadways for all.

Previously, Allie served as senior vice president at the Georgia Conservancy and is the founder of Georgia Watch, the state’s only consumer watchdog organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Georgia. For Allie Kelly, roadways are avenues to a better future.
