About Sharada Sampath Kumar:

Sharada Sampathkumar is a software engineer turned storyteller, narrative designer, and community storytelling practitioner, bringing together mythology, memory, and modern meaning. She holds a PGDCM in Comparative World Mythology from the University of Mumbai and is a Fellow Storyteller with the World Storytelling Institute (Chennai), Bengaluru Storytelling Society, and FEAST – Federation of Asian Storytellers.

Deeply committed to storytelling as a tool for social change, Sharada actively volunteers with government schools and has been part of INTACH’s (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) education outreach programmes, using stories to nurture cultural awareness and empathy in young minds.

She is the founder of “The Magic Faraway Tree”, a dedicated storytelling space, and runs the Early Reader Programme, rooted in her belief that children are the seeds of the future world.

A passionate pilgrim of Indian culture, arts, and festivals, Sharada weaves heart and humanity into today’s digital age. Her work carries timeless stories into contemporary spaces — from intimate circles to global platforms — blending mythology with lived experience and present-day relevance.

Her signature style combines emotion, metaphor, and deep listening, transforming everyday moments into mirrors of shared truths. Through her storytelling, Sharada invites people to slow down, reclaim meaningful conversations, and rediscover the joy of human connection.
