In this video, I show you how to see FPS, GPU and CPU usage in games with the NVIDIA overlay. You can use these statistics to monitor your PC performance while you play games. Allowing you to see and benchmark how your PC is performing while gaming. This is particularly useful when trying to find issues when gaming.

With the NVIDIA overlay you can show your CPU usage using the CPU utilization option. This will give you a clear percentage number which indicates how much your CPU is being used. Additionally, you can also turn on the GPU Utilization option to see your GPU usage.

To make things easy you can select a preset statistics overlay. However, you can also customize the statistics that you see. This allows you to see what CPU and GPU information you see while gaming. Additionally, with the NVIDIA overlay you can also select exactly where you want the overlay to be shown. This helps you display your PC performance wherever you want it.

You can also customize the layout of the statistics that you show. Allowing you to get the exact look that you're after. If you are trying to display GPU and CPU information clearly then you may want to use the stacked layout with enhanced visibility. This will list each stat one under the other, with an added transparent black background to make the information easier to read. However, if you want to see how your PC is performing in game, without disrupting your gameplay then using the linear layout with standard visibility will work best. This provides a small horizontal list of your PC and game performance.

Although the overlay is often used to show GPU and CPU information, you can also see your FPS in any game with it. You can also turn on different latency statistics to give provide you more information and help you optimize your games better.
