Maasai have been coexisting with the wildlife surrounding them for years. Their way of life revolves around their cattle. This is because the animals are important in the diet of the Maasai people.

Milk is stored in a calabash, made from a gourd, and is drunk on its own or occasionally mixed with fresh cow blood to be used for ritual purposes or to be given to someone who is sick.
In this video, I will be teaching you how to make one of these calabashes for your own use as a water bottle, or for fermenting milk or porridge.
