1. New paint colors
Now let's talk about the exterior, starting with the paint colors. Tesla is known for changing their free color options periodically. For the longest time, the free color was white, so there were white Teslas everywhere. However, the free color is now gray, specifically a deep, rich, dark gray called Stealth Gray, which looks beautiful. They also updated their red color to a deeper, more burgundy shade called Ultra Red, which looks amazing, especially in the sunlight where it really pops.

But that's not all. For the Long Range All-Wheel Drive and Performance trims, Tesla introduced a new paint color called Quicksilver. 2. Headlights
Previously, most Model Y vehicles were equipped with reflector-style headlights, which were adequate but now Tesla has upgraded all their cars to feature the advanced Matrix-style design. So when you accept delivery of your new Tesla, take the time to check and ensure it has the Matrix headlights. Here are a few reasons why you'll love the Matrix headlights. First, they provide brighter light without blinding oncoming traffic. Second, the beam pattern is cleaner and more precise. And finally, they allow for future updates such as adaptive turning and adaptive high beams.
How can you tell the difference? Let’s take a look at the reflector headlight from the old Model Y. It has a daytime running light bar at the top, surrounded by a mirror finish all around, with the bulb on the outside. This is called the reflector-style headlight because it reflects the light from the housing. While the light output is good, it's not as effective as the Matrix.
