SUPERGRANULATION COLOURS from Schmincke

The special feature of the supergranulating HORADAM AQUARELL colours is already noticeable when applying the paint with the brush. The otherwise even colour structure of the watercolour appears kind of broken and uneven. There are also pigment agglomerations on rough paper, which are caused by the settling of the heavy pigments in the paper indentations.

We have taken advantage of this property for the 40 supergranulating colours and have now - after their great success - included them in our standard HORADAM range. Anna Zadorozhnaya, Schmincke Artist and Ambassador, shows in this clip the 8 different thematic series with 5 colours each:

Anna's paintings show the extreme granulation effect very well. She vividly describes what makes the colours so unique and why she likes to use them for her landscape-influenced watercolour motifs.
