Authorities have confirmed the identity of the person who allegedly rammed a vehicle into a crowd of people in New Orleans during a New Year's celebration early Wednesday morning, killing 15 and injuring dozens of others.

The FBI said Wednesday that the suspect was identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. citizen from Texas.
