MIXED RESPONSE TO 12-HOUR TRIPURA BANDH

Mixed response was seen to the 12-hour Tripura bandh called by the CPI (M) today to protest the alleged murder of its candidate for Zilla Parishad in the August 8 panchayat polls. Traffic on Agartala roads was thin, Sunday markets have opened, few shops too have opened. This is as per updates at 8 am today. The bandh began at 6am and will continue till 6 pm.
